Brand ActivationsPhoto Booth vs. DJ vs. Live Band
A photo booth isn't an either/or against your entertainment — it's the piece that sends guests home with something in their hands. A DJ or band keeps the dance floor moving; a booth captures the night and hands every guest a keepsake (and hands you a gallery of branded, shareable content the next morning).
Most of our clients pair a booth with their DJ or band rather than choosing between them. For a deeper breakdown, read our guide on hiring a wedding band, a DJ, or both, and how a booth fits alongside either.

How to Choose Between Them
Does my venue rule any booths out?
Sometimes, and it is worth checking before you fall in love with one. Mirror booths and the taller enclosed setups want ceiling height and a reasonably level floor, which historic rooms and some barns cannot always offer. The 360 booth needs clear floor space around the platform, because guests are filmed from a rotating arm and anything within that radius ends up in the shot. Roaming booths are the most forgiving on space but rely on the operator being able to move through the room, so tightly packed banquet layouts slow them down. Lighting matters as much as space: dim reception lighting is exactly where a DSLR booth pulls ahead of a tablet-based one. Send us your venue and we will tell you what fits rather than guessing on site.
Prints or digital — which should I pick?
They answer different needs, and plenty of events want both. Physical prints are the keepsake: guests leave holding something, and at weddings a print booth plus a scrapbook gives you a guest book that people genuinely fill in. Digital delivery is the reach: photos land on guests' phones during the event and get shared while the night is still happening, which is usually the point for corporate work and brand activations. If your priority is the room feeling warm and personal, lean toward prints. If it is impressions and shareable content the next morning, lean digital. Most corporate clients take both, because the branded overlay on a printed strip does work that a phone photo does not.
Can I have more than one booth at an event?
Yes, and for larger events it is often the better answer than sizing one booth up. Two booths halve the queue rather than doubling the novelty, so the usual pairing is one print-based booth as the anchor and one roaming or 360 booth moving through the crowd to reach people who would not join a line. For multi-room events, a booth per room beats one central booth that half the guests never walk past. The practical limits are power, floor space and how many attendants the venue can accommodate — all of which we work out with you beforehand rather than discovering on the day.
