Fall weddings just seem to fit Moonstone Manor. The property, the changing leaves and the historic character of the venue create a setting that doesn’t need much help to feel special. We had the opportunity to be part of Meredith and Ron’s wedding at Moonstone Manor in Elizabethtown, PA, where our Icon Photo Booth joined a great team of local wedding professionals for their celebration. Elizabethtown sits in the middle of Lancaster County, which means a fall Saturday there is competing with every other couple who had the same good idea.
A Beautiful Elizabethtown Wedding Venue
Moonstone Manor has a personality all its own. Located just outside Elizabethtown in Lancaster County, the historic estate offers couples a setting that feels private and relaxed while still having plenty of character. For a fall wedding, it’s especially hard to beat. Rather than compete with the look and feel of the venue, we wanted the photo booth experience to fit naturally into Meredith and Ron’s reception — which is the same starting point we use at every venue, because a booth that fights the room is a booth nobody photographs well in.

The Icon Photo Booth
For their wedding, Meredith and Ron chose our Icon Photo Booth, paired with a custom backscreen and 4x6 photo prints. The Icon is one of our favorite booths for weddings like this because the booth itself looks like it belongs at a wedding. Its wood construction and vintage-inspired design give it a little more character than a typical photo booth setup, while the camera and lighting inside deliver the modern photo quality guests expect. The custom backscreen helped tie the experience into the overall look of the reception: instead of bringing in a generic photo booth background, we were able to create something specifically for their celebration. And, of course, guests had something to take with them. Throughout the reception, friends and family could stop by the booth, take a few photos and leave with a full-size 4x6 print. Some came through once. Others found their way back several times during the evening — which is usually when we know the booth is doing its job.

More Than Something for Guests to Do
One reason we like the Icon Photo Booth for weddings is that it can be part of the reception without taking over the reception. Guests can visit whenever they want — between dances, after dinner or while catching up with friends they haven’t seen in a while. Those few minutes in front of the camera often produce some of the most relaxed photos of the night. The prints also become something guests actually take home with them, and long after the reception is over those photos have a way of ending up on refrigerators, desks and bulletin boards. That’s what we want a wedding photo booth to do. Add to the fun of the evening, give people another reason to spend time together and create a few more memories along the way.

Congratulations again to Meredith and Ron, and thank you for allowing FX Photo Booths to be part of your wedding at Moonstone Manor.
