PA Party Wheels
Meet Erin and Kurt Tadich, the owners of PA Party Wheels based in Carlisle, PA. In addition to being the parents to their lovely daughter Margaret, they are collectors of vintage vehicles and are especially fond of Volkswagens. Erin & Kurt own a “stable” of vintage vehicles including a 1979 Green Volkswagen Westfalia pop-up (the “Green Bus”) and a 1978 Burgundy Volkswagen Hard Top bus with roof rack (aka Lucy).
Great minds think alike, right? A collaborative approach.
We had the fortune to meet Erin and Kurt on a cold, wet Sunday in Mechanicsburg. We were both participating in a Central PA Wedding Show. We learned Erin and Kurt started renting out their vintage line of vehicles several months prior for photo shoots and social events in the area, to rave reviews.
While we don’t own a vintage vehicle, we are also a fans and love the concept of using vintage vehicles in photo opportunities. While this is not a new concept in photo booth circles, our conversation quickly turned on how expand the PA Party Wheels rental offering by incorporating photo booths into their vehicle rentals. If there was a challenge to idea, it was doing so, without making significant modifications to the vehicles. Not only are their vehicles classic but they are functional. Erin and Kurt use their buses for family camping trips too!
From our conversation, we envisioned a concept to incorporate photo booths without any structural modifications to the vehicle but also providing a quality photo booth experience. We successfully tested this concept out for Bethany & Jon’s Wedding at Melhorn Manor on March 20, 2021. To no one’s surprise, it was a huge hit! Not only did Bethany & Jon love it, guests had a blast jumping into “Lucy” and taking pictures! It took their wedding reception to a new level of fun, sophistication and memory making.
A Partnership Born
From a simple conversation at a wedding show, a partnership ensued. Erin and Kurt provide the vehicles, setup and décor for events and FX Photo Booths provides the equipment, software and photo booth expertise and experience. A “win-win” and the best of both worlds.
